A former newspaper reporter/columnist, Ben San Del emcees and features at comedy clubs throughout the region, balancing intellectual wordplay with playfully immature wit. Ben won Acme Comedy Co.'s Funniest Person in the Twin Cities Contest in 2006 and has written and performed three hit one-man shows for the Minnesota Fringe Festival: "Mittens for Fat Kids," "Strawberry Fields Temporarily," and "Animal Cracker Genocide." The St. Paul Pioneer Press has called his performance "sharp, with perfect pacing," and the City Pages has called him a "reliably on-target stalwart."

He has opened for Greg Giraldo, Nick DiPaolo, Maria Bamford and Emo Philips.
